The Razi Hall of Iran University of Medical Sciences hosted the event, in which winners of the festival’s different categories were announced and awarded.
It began with recitation of verses from the Quran by prominent Qari Habib Sedaqat, followed by a report about the organization of the festival presented by its chairwoman Sima Sadat Lari.
She said more than 300,000 university students, teachers and staff took part in this edition, which was held in six sections.
Elsewhere, Lari noted that the promotion of Quranic teachings and culture in society is among the main objectives of the festival, adding that spreading the Quranic values and teachings guarantees social cultural and political health.
Later in the program, 139 top participants were announced and awarded.
Quran recitation, memorization, Tarteel, Quranic arts, article writing, and recitation of supplications were among the categories of the festival.
Also in the program, Quran manuscripts scholar Mehdi Mohaqqeq was honored for his scholarly activities in Quranic fields.
